Healing in the Invisible Moments
Written by OJ Aihie
Key Verse · Psalm 30:2 (NIV)
“Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.”
Healing often looks like a dramatic, instantaneous event. But what about the moments in between, the unseen times when God is working deeply in our lives?
David, the author of Psalm 30, knew about these invisible moments. He had been through the darkest of times, facing death and despair, yet he declared that God had healed him.
“I will exalt you, Lord, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me. Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me. You, Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down to the pit.”
Notice that David's healing wasn't just physical; it was also emotional and spiritual. God had lifted him out of the depths, sparing him from the pit of despair.
In our own lives, we may not see the dramatic, instantaneous healing we desire. But that doesn't mean God isn't working. He is often at work in the invisible moments, healing our hearts, minds, and souls.
