Navigating the Space Between Us

By the Pace with Grace editorial team

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Relationships can be tricky. One day everything feels great, the next day it feels like you're stuck in a rut. You want to be close to the people in your life, but sometimes it feels like you're speaking different languages.

The golden rule is a good place to start. It's simple: treat others the way you want to be treated. But it's not always easy to put into practice.

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Matthew 7:12

This verse isn't just about being kind to others, it's about understanding where they're coming from. It's about empathy and compassion. It's about being willing to listen and learn from each other.

Navigating relationships is all about finding a balance between giving and taking, between speaking and listening. It's not always easy, but it's worth it.

God, help me navigate the space between us. Give me the wisdom to know when to speak and when to listen, and the courage to be empathetic and compassionate. Amen.

When this hits in real life.
