Praying When You Can't Find the Words

Key Verse · Romans 8:26 (NIV)
“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.”
If your prayer life has felt blank, you're already in good biblical company.
“We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.”
Wordless groans. That's a verse in the Bible. Not 'eloquent prayers' or 'polished gratitude', wordless. Groans.
Prayer isn't a performance. The Spirit fills in for you when your sentences stall. The silence between your words isn't a problem; it's part of the conversation.
If you've been avoiding prayer because you don't know what to say, try this: open the notes app. Write the most honest sentence you can about today. Read it back to God. That's prayer.
