Where You Fit in the Story

The concept of belonging is a funny thing. Sometimes it feels like we're all just trying to find our place in someone else's story.

The Bible says we're not just characters in someone else's narrative, we're actually part of a much bigger story.

“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.”

Ephesians 2:19-20

We're not just trying to find our place, we're actually being built into something. A community, a household, a story that's still being written.

So what does it mean to belong? It means being part of something bigger than ourselves, something that's still unfolding.

God, help me see where I fit in your story. Help me understand that I'm not just a character, I'm a part of something bigger. Give me the courage to find my place, and the faith to trust that you're still writing. Amen.
