Beyond the Fog of Uncertainty

Key Verse · Mark 9:24 (NIV)
“I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
Doubt can be a heavy fog that settles over everything, making it hard to see what's true and what's not.
The father in Mark 9 had a son with an unclean spirit, and he brought him to Jesus. When Jesus asked him if he believed, the father said something honest: 'I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!'
“'If you can?' said Jesus. 'Everything is possible for one who believes.' Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, 'I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!'”
This father didn't pretend to have it all together. He acknowledged his doubt, and he asked for help. That's a brave thing to do, especially when it feels like everyone around you has it figured out.
Doubt doesn't mean you're not a person of faith. It means you're human, and you're willing to be honest about what you're struggling with.
