Beyond the Mirror Reflection

By the Pace with Grace editorial team

The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

Have you ever caught yourself staring at your reflection, critiquing every detail? You're not alone. The mirror can be a cruel judge, making us feel like we're not enough.

But what if our self-worth wasn't tied to our appearance? What if it was rooted in something deeper?

The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

1 Samuel 16:7

This verse isn't saying our bodies don't matter. It's saying our worth isn't defined by them. You are more than your physical appearance.

It's time to look beyond the mirror reflection. To see ourselves the way God sees us: as unique, talented, and worthy individuals.

God, help me see myself the way you see me. Help me look beyond the mirror reflection and find my worth in you. Amen.

When this hits in real life.
