Beyond the Static of Uncertainty

Key Verse · Mark 9:24 (NIV)
“Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, 'I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!'”
Doubt can be a heavy fog, making it hard to see what's ahead. It's not the absence of faith, but a cry for help, a desire to see clearly again.
The father in Mark 9 had just enough faith to ask for help. He didn't have it all figured out, but he was honest about his doubts.
“'If you can?' said Jesus. 'Everything is possible for one who believes.' Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, 'I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!'”
The word 'immediately' is key. The father didn't wait until his doubts were gone to reach out. He did it in the midst of uncertainty.
Doubt is not a sign of weakness, but a sign that you're still searching, still seeking truth. It's okay to not have all the answers.
