Navigating the In-Betweens of People

By the Pace with Grace editorial team

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

Relationships can be the best, most painful, most beautiful things in our lives. They can sharpen us, grow us, and sometimes hurt us.

The Bible says Iron sharpens iron. But what about when the iron is dull, or when it's too sharp and cuts?

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

Proverbs 27:17

It's easy to look at the people around us and think they have it all together. But the truth is, everyone is figuring it out as they go.

So how do we navigate these in-between spaces of people? How do we know when to push in, and when to pull back?

God, I don't always know how to navigate the people in my life. I don't always know when to push in, or when to pull back. Help me be sharp, but not cutting. Help me be gentle, but not weak. Meet me in the in-betweens. Amen.

When this hits in real life.
