When Faith Feels Microscopic
By the Pace with Grace editorial team
Key Verse · Matthew 17:20 (NIV)
“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move.”
If you've been measuring your faith and finding it short, hear this. Jesus, addressing his disciples about faith, picked the smallest seed in the marketplace as the bar.
“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move.”
Mustard seed. Visible, but barely. The point isn't that you need to grow your faith into a tree first, it's that the smallest amount is already enough.
If you can muster a half-sentence prayer, a sliver of trust, a shaky 'maybe', that's the verse. You're not under-qualified. You're not below the threshold. You're in.
