Beyond the Highlight Reel

You know the feeling: scrolling through feeds, seeing everyone's highlight reels, and wondering why your life isn't as put together.

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians about the dangers of comparison. He wasn't talking about social media, but the principle remains: when we compare ourselves to others, we're playing a losing game.

“We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise. We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will confine our boasting to the sphere of service God himself has assigned to us.”

Paul's solution isn't to stop looking at others altogether, but to focus on our own unique assignments from God. What has He called you to? What gifts, talents, and experiences make your journey distinct?
