Prayer as a Conversation

We often think of prayer as a one-way conversation, where we talk to God and he listens. But what if prayer is more like a dialogue, where we talk and listen, and God responds?

In Matthew 7, Jesus teaches us to ask, seek, and knock. It's an invitation to conversation, not just a formula for getting what we want.

Prayer is not just about getting answers, it's about building a relationship with God. It's about being honest, vulnerable, and open with him.

So, what if we approached prayer like a conversation with a friend? What if we shared our thoughts, feelings, and desires with God, and then listened for his response?

God, I want to have a conversation with you, not just ask for things. Help me to be honest, vulnerable, and open with you. Teach me to listen for your response and to trust that you're always speaking to me. Amen.
