Waiting Is Not Idle

By the Pace with Grace editorial team

“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

We live in a world that values speed and efficiency. We want things to happen now, and waiting can feel like a waste of time.

But what if waiting is not idle? What if it's an active and intentional process of growth and trust in God's timing?

“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Psalm 27:14

David wrote these words in a time of great uncertainty and danger. He was waiting for God to act, to deliver him from his enemies and to establish him as king.

As we wait, we can choose to trust in God's goodness and sovereignty. We can choose to see waiting as an opportunity to grow in faith and to learn to trust in God's timing.

God, help me to wait on you with patience and trust. Help me to see waiting as an opportunity for growth and to learn to trust in your timing. Amen.

When this hits in real life.
