When the Unknown Feels Overwhelming
By the Pace with Grace editorial team
Key Verse · Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Fear of the unknown can be debilitating. It's the what-ifs, the maybes, the unknown outcomes that keep us up at night.
The Bible doesn't promise that we'll never face unknowns. But it does promise that God will be with us in the midst of them.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Trust is not the absence of fear, but the presence of faith in the face of fear. It's saying, 'I don't know what's next, but I know who is with me.'
So what does trust look like in the unknown? It looks like taking the next step, even when we can't see the whole path. It looks like praying, even when we don't have the words. It looks like seeking community, even when we feel alone.
