Finding Comfort in the Chaos

By the Pace with Grace editorial team

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff comfort me.”

Life can get overwhelming, and it's easy to feel like you're drowning in a sea of anxiety and uncertainty.

But what if you could find comfort in the chaos? What if you could learn to trust that God is with you, even in the darkest valleys?

“The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff comfort me.”

Psalm 23:1-4

David wrote these words, and he knew a thing or two about chaos. He faced giants, and lions, and armies, and yet he found comfort in God's presence.

You can do the same. You can learn to trust that God is with you, and that He will comfort you, even in the midst of chaos.

God, I feel overwhelmed and uncertain. I need your comfort and peace. Help me trust that you are with me, even in the darkest valleys. Comfort me with your presence, and give me the strength to face whatever comes my way. Amen.

When this hits in real life.
